Dear Angela,
         How are you doing? My winter vacation started several days ago. This is my third year in the UK.This year, my school thinks students should also try to help others besides studying. That’s why it asked every student to work at a children’s home, an elderly home, or a hospital. I chose to work at an elderly home. There I could meet different people. I didn’t get paid for the work, so at first I thought I was helping others. But later I found I was in fact helping myself. The work made me change a lot. In the past, I only cared about my studies, but now I love to see other people live better lives.
          I miss all my friends in Tainan. I hope to see you soon when I graduate next year. I can’t wait to go back to Taiwan and get together with you.
