The Western Queen Mother gave Hou Yi a bottle of drink that could make one person live forever. Hou Yi’s wife, Chang’e took it and drank it. Then she flew to the moon.        Wu Gang wanted to live forever, but he didn’t try hard to learn magic. The Jade Emperor got angry with him. In order to punish him, the Jade Emperor planted a cherry bay tree on the moon and told Wu Gang if he could cut it down, he could live forever. But the tree healed every time Wu Gang chopped it. People believe that Wu Gang is still on the moon chopping down the tree.    Once upon a time, there were three Gods: a fox, a rabbit and a monkey. Three Gods were asking for food. The fox and the monkey gave them some. But the rabbit had nothing. Then it jumped into the fire, so three Gods could have a rabbit to eat.
