(B.) In 1998, a six-year-old Ryan began raising money for the kids in Africa. He learned from the news on TV that many African children died because they didn’t have enough clean water. He wanted to do something to help them. He started by doing housework for his family and neighbors. He would save the money he earned. Many people were touched by his action and idea, so they also donated money. His foundation, Ryan's Well, has raised over $6 million so far.
        After raising $45,000, the well was built and Ryan went to Uganda to see the difference he made for one school. Ryan's Well Foundation has drilled over 800 wells in 16 countries. The first school in Uganda he helped celebrates Ryan's Day on July 27 every year. His story shows us that we can make a difference to the world even if we are young or not rich.
