Pride and Prejudice, a great novel by Jane Austen, tells the love story between Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy inEngland in the 1800s. Their love didn’t come easy with their own pride and prejudice standing in the way. However,someone decided to make it even harder for them to win over each other’s heart. Seth Grahame-Smith changed the storywith a lot of zombie attacks in his book, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
       Zombies changed the old story in many ways. They often attacked people. Besides being rich, if a person was goodat killing zombies, he or she would make a good husband or wife. Mr. Darcy and his friend, Mr. Bingley, were at the topof the husband list.
       One day, Elizabeth and her family went to Mr. Bingley’s party. There, she met Darcy for the first time, but she didn’tlike him because he was too proud. Suddenly, zombies attacked! People ran and shouted. Luckily, Elizabeth and her foursisters were good at killing zombies after years of practice with their father. Along with Mr. Darcy and Mr. Bingley, theyhelped keep many people safe. Later, there were many misunderstandings and more zombie killings going on in the story.
       On April 9, 2009, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies was number 3 on the New York Times bestseller list. The bookeven became a movie in 2016. Isn’t that interesting?
