The Elephant and the Rope
A man was passing the elephants. He saw the big elephants held by only a small rope tied to their front leg. No chains, no cages. The elephants could run away easily but they did not. The man asked a trainer why these beautiful animals just stood there and didn’t want to get away.
“Well,” he said, “when they are very young and much smaller we use the same size of rope to tie them and, at that age, it’s enough to hold them. As they grow up, they believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free.”
Like the elephants, how many of us always think that we cannot do something, just because we failed at it once before?

Which word is NOT similar(相似的) to get away in line 5? 第 5 行中哪個詞(相似的)?(A) break free  掙脫(B) break away 脫離(C) stay there 待在那裡(D) run away  逃跑
