    Ted and Mark wanted to be heroes. They wanted people to read about them in thehistory books. They decided to do something that will be remembered forever. Theythought about their plan for weeks, and then Ted said, “Let’s climb the highestmountain in the world. At night they slept in a small tent. It was very cold on the mountainand soon they were crossing snow and ice. Finally after many days of hardship, theyreached the top. Both of them cried out. “We’ve made it. We ‘ll be famous. All we have todo is plant our flag in the ice,” Ted said. Ted waited for Mark to plant the flag.
