People simply live longer andhealthier today.          But how would this be a problem for us if people canenjoy longer lives? To start with, as there are more oldpeople in a country, the government needs to do a lot moreto help take care of the elderly people. This means thegovernment has to build more nursing homes and spendmore money on health care. Also, too many elderly peoplein the country will bring trouble to the young, too. Youngerpeople will have to work harder to make enough money tosupport themselves and their aging parents who might not beable to work anymore. Because of the worries about money,young people don’t want to get married or do not wish tohave babies. This will later become an even greater problemas there are fewer and fewer kids and young people in thecountry. In the end, we won’t have enough young peopleworking in our own country and will have to bring in somemore workers from other countries, which can be anotherproblem for us. There is no easy solution to the problemsbrought by aging population. In fact, they are difficult tosolve. However, there must be something we and ourgovernment can do.
