As we entered the cafe, we were greeted by a lively atmosphere with the sounds ofdishes clanking, the hiss of the espresso machine, and the chatter of other diners.The seating was cozy, with tables placed close together to maximize space, but thisalso means that conversations from neighboring tables could be easily heard.
As we sat down, we noticed that the noise level in the cafe was quite high, making itdifficult to hear what each other said.
As the waitstaff took orders, we found ourselves having to repeat our requests orasked for clarification due to the high noise level. The waitstaff was friendly andaccommodating, but the noise made it challenging for them to communicate with us.
For these reasons, we asked a discounted price at the checkout. Although themanager accepted the request, from her face and voice, we could easily tell herdismay and impatience. When I reached out to take the change from my boss, sheseemed to have accidentally or intentionally dropped a bunch of coins, which stirredup my anger. As a cafe manager, she should have been more professional.
