Every year when April 14 rolls around we like to acknowledge Noah ebster, who published the first American Dictionary of the English Language on this date in 1828. Webster considered American English not a poor cousin of the mother tongue of British English, _____39_____ a legitimate body worth respecting, recording, and, yes, reforming.
