(二)         Mother’s Day is on the second Sunday of May, but how much do you know about Father’s Day? The first Father’s Day came from the USA. Mrs. Dodd wanted to remember her father, Mr. Smart. Mrs. Dodd’s father took care of six kids by himself after his wife passed away. Then, they celebrated Father’s Day on June 19th, 1910. The president of the USA, Richard Nixon made it official in 1972 to celebrate the third Sunday of June as Father’s Day.　　
        However, not all Father’s Day is on the same date. We celebrate Father’s Day on August 8th in Taiwan because the sound of “dad” is close to the sound of “August 8th” in Chinese. When most countries celebrate Father’s and Mother’s Days on different dates, Korea celebrate Parents’ Day on May 8th.　　        How do you celebrate Father’s Day? Kids in the USA make breakfast for their dads to eat in bed. Fathers in Germany can drink as much beer as they want. Daughters in Japan go home and give their dads a hot bath. Are you thinking of buying gifts for your father? Just say “I love you, daddy.” to your father, and he will be the happiest person in the world.
