Each year, half a million earthquakes hit around the world. Sadly, with the science today, we still can’t predict when an earthquake will hit. There are, however, signs in nature that can better prepare us for coming earthquakes. So where can we look in nature for those signs? Well, animals act differently before an earthquake because they have finer senses than we do. There are also signs in the sky, mountains, and even rivers and lakes. Here are some examples.
 1. Your pet dog or cat acts strangely or makes strange sounds. They may even run away and are suddenly missing.
2. Animals suddenly appear in large number, for example, you notice many snakes on the street.
 3. The water level of a lake has become much lower or higher.
 4. The color of the sky becomes green or looks strange.
