有機磷會不可逆的和 acetylcholinesterase 結合，導致過多的 Ache  和 M receptor 作用，造成縮瞳、流淚、氣管痙攣等等的作用。這時候如果有一個藥物可以可逆的與 acetylcholinesterase  結合，就達成阻止有機磷的目的。
