 A Letter to Santa
 Dear Santa,
         I am Franklin, a thirteen-year-old boy from Syrian. Now I am in Rome with my mother and two little sisters. This year, I am pretty good. I help my mom every day. I work on the farm, cook for my family, clean the house and take care of my sisters. So may I have gifts, too? Well, I want my father and brother to be with us. They are now in Syrian. There are wars there. We don’t have much money, so they can’t come with us to Rome. They have bad days in Syrian. They are nervous every day. Next, do you know any doctors? To take care of the animals, my mother hurt her hand. She wraps it every day and says it’s OK, but I know it’s not very good. Maybe a doctor can help her. Last, I want to go to school. My friend, Jovoif, is a student in Milton School. He can read and write. But I can’t. I never go to school. He makes gelato at school. He makes it of bananas and ice cream, and he says it’s really yummy! Oh, going to school is so cool to me! Thank you very much, Santa! Happy Christmas!
