For many people around the world, Christmas is a special time of year. One of the most famous Christmas figures is Santa Claus. Where is Santa Claus from? Originally, Santa Claus was from a story that was told in Holland for hundreds of years. The story was about Saint Nicholas, also called “the friendly saint.” Later, this story was brought to the US, and his name changed to Santa Claus. And instead of giving gifts on December 6th , he brought them to children on Christmas Eve. Children believe that with the help of magical elves and nine flying reindeer, Santa Claus gives presents to all the good children in the whole world in one night.
