問題詳情

五、閱讀測驗:
Guided dogs are trained to help the visually impaired get around. These service animals assist their human handlers with safely crossing streets and avoiding dangers as they make their way from place to place. The first training schools for those in need of guide dogs were founded in Germany to help injured veterans of World War I. In 1928, American Morris Frank returned from Switzerland after attending one such school. He came back with his own guide dog, a female German Shepherd named Buddy. The two of them went on tour, spreading the word about the benefits of guided dogs and the need for these dogs to have access to public and private transport. The tour was a success, resulting in Frank opening The Seeing Eye School in 1929.
