五、閱讀測驗 (一)Lanyu is famous for its natural beauty. Many people come here to see its beauty. Then, there are many shops selling food and drinks. Also, there are many scooter rentals on Lanyu. This may be good for business； however, it creates a garbage problem. It is bad for the island’s environment. Visitors to the island often leave behind trash such as plastic bottles. Many scooters on Lanyu produce much used oil every month. The trash and used oil often end up on the island or in the sea.          A-Wen, a native of Lanyu, he was sad to see all the garbage on the island. He decided to take manners into his own hands. At first, A-Wen tried to clean up the beach and get natives to help collect plastic bottles. A-Wen also collected used motor oil and worked with volunteers to recycle cooking oil by making soap with it. News of A-Wen’s hard work has attracted many volunteers to the island. In addition to the help from volunteers, A-Wen hopes that the young living on Lanyu can avoid using plastic bottles.
