One day, a farmer’s old mule (騾) fell into a well. Luckily, there was no water in it. The mule couldn’t get out of it, so it kept crying sadly. At first, the farmer didn’t know how to save the mule. Then he decided to bury (埋葬) it in the well because neither the mule nor the dry well was useful to him.     The farmer got his friends together to throw lots of dirt on the mule in the well.
