問題詳情

四、閱讀測驗:(每個答案2分,共22分)   People enjoy having hot dogs when they watch baseball games, and they also love to have them as snacks. However, not many people know the holiday - the National Hot Dog Day. How did “hot dog” become a part of people’s lives? In the late1600’s a butcher in Germany introduced the new product “dachshund” or “little-dog sausage” to the world.   Years later, some people brought “hot dog” to the US, and the first hot dog stand in the US opened in 1871; however, the term “hot dog” did not appear until 1901. The street vendors used to put hot dog in a milk roll, but now they put hot dogs in a long soft rolls - the hot dog bun. Though hot dogs do not cost much, they taste as delicious as steak. So, come and join them on July 14 to celebrate the National Hot Dog Day.                    butcher 肉販 introduce 介紹 dachshund 臘腸狗sausage香腸 term 詞 roll 捲
