問題詳情
(B)Dear Sandra, Wednesday, November 30, 2016 My name is Anna. I am a 16-year-old student. I used to be my teachers’ pride during junior high school because I
invariably beat most other students in all kinds of tests. All the teachers had high hopes for me. They believed that I could bring glory to myself and to the school by entering the best senior high school. I didn’t let them down. I did it. However, senior high schools are so much different from junior high schools, especially when you’re in one of the best high schools in the country. The best high school means the one with the highest rate of students. Most of them can get into top universities in the future. After I entered one of the best high schools, I have lost all the glory and attention. I’m just an ordinary student at school. All the school subjects are much harder than before, and most of my classmates do better on tests than I do. I am not a lazy student; I even study harder than before. However, many things in the textbooks are hard to understand. I found math especially difficult. Asking my classmates for help? Don’t even think about it. Some of them don’t want to answer my questions, and some don’t even talk to me because I’m one of the “bottom” students. What can I do? I don’t want the life like this. --- Anna Wang
